In recent operations, Ukrainian drone forces have reported eliminating over 900 Russian soldiers along a 100-kilometer stretch of the front line in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. This figure was shared by Major Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, the commander of the drone forces, via social media.
According to Brovdi, the casualties include both killed and wounded enemy personnel. He noted that the adverse weather conditions experienced on March 17-18 played a significant role in the combat dynamics, particularly in the most active sectors of the front, which include the Dobropilskyi, Pokrovskyi, and Huliaipilskiy areas. The anticipated commencement of a spring-summer offensive by Russian forces prompted them to resume assault operations, taking advantage of the expected weather changes.
Brovdi emphasized that the enemy’s strategy relied on stealth, which ultimately proved ineffective. He remarked, “900 in just a day and a half is a new benchmark. Kudos to the gentlemen of the drone culture. Our ground defenders were exceptional, holding every position against the enemy’s advances during this period. The overall losses for the occupiers are significantly higher. We must remain vigilant, as the remainder of March is expected to be challenging and prolonged.”
