On March 15, a Russian drone struck near a checkpoint in Novoselivka, part of the Kyselivka community in the Chernihiv region, resulting in casualties among military personnel and local law enforcement.
According to Dmitro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv city military administration, the attack left one soldier dead and several others injured. Additionally, a police officer was reported to be among the injured.
Emergency services are currently on the scene, where unexploded ordnance from the drone remains a concern. Bryzhynskyi noted, “Detonation of unidentified explosive devices dropped by the drone is ongoing, and relevant services are working to manage the situation.”
This incident follows a recent attack on March 14, when two medics were killed in Russian shelling near the village of Chervona Khvylia in the Kharkiv region.
