On March 14, the European Council announced a six-month extension of sanctions targeting individuals responsible for undermining Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. These measures will remain in effect until September 15.

The sanctions package continues to encompass approximately 2,600 individuals and entities linked to Russia’s unprovoked aggression against Ukraine. The restrictions include travel bans, asset freezes, and prohibitions on providing funds or other economic resources to those listed.

As part of the sanctions review, the Council decided not to renew the inclusion of two individuals on the list and has removed five deceased persons.

The EU reiterated its commitment to maintaining and intensifying pressure on Russia to halt its aggressive actions and to initiate constructive peace negotiations.

The European Council has extended sanctions against individuals linked to Russia's aggression towards Ukraine, reaffirming its commitment to support Ukraine's sovereignty. The sanctions, affecting around 2,600 entities, aim to increase pressure on Russia for peace negotiations.
