Drone Attack Causes Fire at Russian Oil Refinery and Damage at Caucasus Port

In the early hours of March 14, a drone attack in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, resulted in a fire at the Afipsky Oil Refinery and damage to a vessel at the Caucasus port.

Local residents reported hearing multiple explosions around 1 a.m. The regional operational headquarters confirmed that a fire broke out in the technical installations at the Afipsky refinery, stating that measures were being taken to extinguish the blaze.

According to analysts from the OSINT project ‘CyberBorosno,’ video analysis indicated that the AT-22/4 installation was hit during the attack. Meanwhile, in the Temryuk district, the Caucasus port was also targeted, where drones caused damage to a ship and ignited a fire at the docking complex. Local authorities reported that three individuals sustained injuries as a result of the port attack.

The Afipsky Oil Refinery has previously been a target of drone strikes, underscoring its significance to the Russian military-industrial complex, as it supplies fuel to occupying forces.
