In the early hours of March 14, the Kyiv region experienced a significant assault involving drones and missiles, resulting in casualties and extensive damage to civilian infrastructure. The attacks targeted several populated areas, raising concerns about civilian safety amidst ongoing hostilities.
According to Mykola Kalyashnyk, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, at least two individuals lost their lives in the Brovary district, with four others sustaining injuries. The strikes caused damage to a dormitory, production facilities, and storage buildings.
Brovary’s mayor, Ihor Sapozhko, reported a higher casualty count, indicating eight injured and confirming one fatality in the city. He shared images depicting the aftermath of the attack, highlighting the extent of the destruction.
In the nearby Vyshhorod district, one person was injured, and multiple warehouse facilities caught fire, alongside damage to a multi-story residential building.
The Obukhiv district also reported damage, with technical premises of a high-rise building affected and vehicles ignited near the site.
In the Bucha district, a private house was set ablaze as a result of the assault.
Kalyashnyk stated, “All emergency services, including firefighters, medical personnel, and police, are on-site. We are doing everything possible to mitigate the consequences of the attack and assist those affected.”
