On Saturday, March 8, certain regions in Ukraine will experience scheduled power outages due to the ongoing impact of Russian missile and drone attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure. This announcement was made by the national energy company, Ukrenergo.
The outages are set to begin at 08:00 and will last until the end of the day. In addition to residential consumers, power restrictions will also apply to industrial users.
Ukrenergo emphasized that the situation within the energy system is subject to change, and residents are advised to check the official websites of local energy providers for specific details regarding the timing and extent of outages in their areas.
Since January 14, a state of emergency has been in effect, following directives from President Volodymyr Zelensky, in response to the ongoing energy crisis precipitated by Russian strikes.
Scheduled power outages in Ukraine are a response to damage from Russian attacks on energy facilities. Residents are encouraged to stay informed through official channels regarding specific outage details.
