Sources indicate that during a private dinner, Trump referred to Starmer as a “loser,” a marked shift from his previous praise for the British leader, whom he had once called a “winner.” This change in tone reflects a growing discontent with Starmer’s leadership.
“Trump began calling Starmer a loser. He said this at a dinner with friends. He simply believes that Starmer has no future,” a source reported.
A key point of contention arose when the UK government declined to grant permission for the use of the Diego Garcia base for potential strikes against Iran. Trump publicly criticized Starmer, contrasting him unfavorably with Winston Churchill.
“We are not dealing with Winston Churchill,” Trump stated, adding that Starmer was “ruining relationships.”
