Following overnight Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, several regions are experiencing power outages. Areas affected include Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kherson.
The Ministry of Energy and the National Energy Company of Ukraine (Ukrenergo) reported that emergency restoration efforts are currently underway.
Throughout the day, some regions are implementing hourly power cuts and limiting electricity consumption for industrial users. In certain areas, emergency disconnections are also in effect.
“In Kharkiv region, emergency outages are currently being enforced, and previously published hourly disconnection schedules are temporarily suspended. A return to the anticipated schedules will occur once the energy system stabilizes,” Ukrenergo stated.
The company emphasized the importance of energy conservation in regions with scheduled and emergency outages, urging citizens to limit the use of high-power appliances after 10 PM.
The situation within the energy system remains fluid, and residents are advised to check local energy provider pages for the latest updates on power outages.
Recent Russian attacks have led to significant power outages across multiple regions in Ukraine. Emergency measures are in place as authorities work to restore electricity and manage energy consumption.
