The energy resilience plan for Kyiv was submitted to the government on time and presented during a National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) meeting, countering claims regarding the city’s lack of preparedness.
A government official released a public portion of the document, which excludes sensitive information. This section outlines key proposals aimed at enhancing the protection of the city’s critical infrastructure, reserving energy facilities, and ensuring stable heating and water supply, along with funding parameters and deficits in specific areas.
“This is only part of the capital’s energy resilience plan, specifically the share that can be disclosed, as the full document contains restricted information,”
the official stated.
During the NSDC meeting, all measures outlined in the plan were presented, leading to assertions that claims of the city’s unpreparedness are at least strange and unfounded, according to Panteleev.
He also noted that the energy resilience plan for Kyiv will need to be adjusted, as the NSDC approved plans for all regional centers except the capital.
“The plan will now require adjustments, as the state has not yet promised assistance in its implementation…”
Panteleev explained.
