Drone Attack Targets U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Explosions occurred at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh following an attack involving two drones, resulting in a fire on the embassy grounds. The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense confirmed the incident.

According to the Ministry, the embassy was empty at the time of the attack, and preliminary reports indicate that there were no injuries. In response to the incident, the U.S. Embassy issued a warning to American citizens in Saudi Arabia, advising them to remain in secure locations, particularly in cities such as Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dhahran.

This attack comes amid heightened tensions in the region. Recent reports from The New York Times indicated that Iran had targeted at least six U.S. military facilities in Bahrain, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. In light of these developments, the U.S. State Department has urged American citizens to leave over a dozen countries in the Middle East due to security concerns.

A drone attack on the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh resulted in a fire, but no injuries were reported. This incident highlights escalating regional tensions, particularly involving Iran's actions against U.S. military sites.
