The Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards celebrated its annual ceremony, with Paul Thomas Anderson’s film ‘One Battle After Another’ taking home the prestigious Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures.
In his acceptance speech, Anderson expressed gratitude towards Warner Bros. executives Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy for their unwavering support of the film. He also acknowledged fellow nominees, including ‘The Sinners’ and ‘Weapons.’
Anderson referenced the recent acquisition of Warner Bros. by Paramount, telling studio leaders, “Whatever the future brings, it will be one battle after another.”
This season, ‘One Battle After Another’ has garnered major accolades, including wins from the Directors Guild, Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and BAFTA.
Among other notable winners, Apple TV’s ‘Studio’ received the Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Live Entertainment and Talk Television, while HBO Max’s ‘Pitt’ earned the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Dramatic Televisions Series.
Netflix’s ‘Youth’ was recognized in the miniseries category with the David L. Wolper Award. Additionally, the animated feature ‘Cape Demon Hunters’ from the same streaming platform won for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures.
The award for Best Documentary went to ‘My Mom Jayne.’
