Drone Attack in Dnipro Near Mayor’s Residence

In the early hours of February 28, a drone strike in Dnipro, Ukraine, targeted the city, with one downed Shahed drone landing just 10 meters from the home of Mayor Boris Filatov.

Filatov described the incident, stating, “The downed Shahed fell 10 meters from my private house. Not 100, not 500, but right here. A thick supporting wall saved the situation.” The mayor emphasized that he does not believe this incident was an assassination attempt, noting that anyone in Dnipro could find themselves in a similar situation given its proximity to the front lines.

Additionally, Filatov dismissed speculation that he was revealing his location by discussing the attack, asserting that in a city of one million, many residents are aware of where the mayor lives.

A drone attack in Dnipro resulted in a Shahed drone crashing near Mayor Boris Filatov's home, prompting discussions about safety in the frontline city. Filatov clarified that he does not consider the incident a targeted attack.
