Ukrainian Military Reports Use of Phosphorus Munitions in Kostiantynivka

The Ukrainian military has released footage purportedly showing Russian forces employing phosphorus munitions in residential areas of Kostiantynivka, a city in the Donetsk region. This incident highlights the ongoing conflict and its impact on civilian populations.

According to the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, pilots from the R.V. 3rd Mechanized Battalion documented the strikes on the city. Following the use of phosphorus munitions, Russian forces reportedly targeted Kostiantynivka with a FAB-1500 aerial bomb.

As per official reports, approximately 2,000 civilians remain in Kostiantynivka. Despite the presence of civilians, Russian forces have intensified their attacks on the city, utilizing FPV drones for reconnaissance and targeting.

Images shared by the brigade depict a local resident attempting to flee the city on a bicycle. The brigade claims that the operator of the Russian FPV drone was aware that the individual was a civilian.

The Ukrainian military has accused Russian forces of using phosphorus munitions in Kostiantynivka, raising concerns about civilian safety amid ongoing attacks. Approximately 2,000 civilians are reported to remain in the city as hostilities continue.
