Short Cold Snap Expected in Ukraine Starting February 26

A brief drop in temperatures is anticipated in Ukraine beginning February 26, according to meteorologist Natalka Didenko. The cold spell is expected to be short-lived, with warmer conditions returning the following week.

On February 25, temperatures across most regions of Ukraine will hover around zero degrees Celsius before the cold front arrives. Didenko noted that while a slight cooling is expected from Thursday, temperatures will rise again by March 2.

“From Thursday, February 26, a slight cold snap is expected, with warming returning on March 2,” Didenko stated.

Weather Forecast for Ukraine Through the Week

The next two days will see cool weather persist, but a warming trend is predicted for the weekend, accompanied by a decrease in precipitation, according to forecaster Ihor Kibalchich.

On February 26, precipitation is expected mainly in northern, central, and Kharkiv regions, with snow and sleet possible, while icy conditions may affect roadways. Nighttime temperatures are forecasted to range from -4 to +1 degrees Celsius, with lows of -10 degrees in the northeastern areas. Daytime highs will vary from -1 to +5 degrees, reaching up to +11 degrees in southern and western regions.

February 27 will bring mixed precipitation, including rain and snow in most areas during the night, but conditions will improve by daytime. Expected temperatures will be between -3 and +6 degrees, with western regions and Odesa potentially reaching +12 degrees.

On February 28, significant precipitation is not anticipated, although light snow may occur in the east. Nighttime temperatures will range from -3 to +3 degrees, while daytime highs will be between 0 and +6 degrees, with western and Odesa areas warming up to +13 degrees.

March 1 will see light wet snow and rain in the northern regions, with nighttime temperatures between -1 and +5 degrees and daytime highs from +3 to +8 degrees, while southern and Transcarpathian areas could reach up to +11 degrees.
