China has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The Chinese government emphasized the importance of dialogue between the involved parties.
During a recent statement, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China characterized the country’s stance as “objective and fair.” Mao Ning, the spokesperson, asserted that China’s position on the Ukrainian crisis remains consistent.
“China’s position on the Ukrainian crisis is objective, fair, and evident to all,”
she stated. Mao further emphasized that China is not seeking to capitalize on the conflict, insisting that the nation does not engage in actions that exacerbate tensions.
“China never adds fuel to the fire, nor does it take advantage of opportunities for profit,”
the spokesperson remarked.
The Chinese government urged all parties to continue negotiations, noting that recent developments have created opportunities for dialogue. Mao Ning expressed that maintaining the momentum of negotiations is crucial.
“Dialogue and negotiations are the only way to resolve the crisis,”
she asserted, expressing hope that the involved parties can reach a comprehensive and lasting peace agreement.
Additionally, the spokesperson indicated that China is prepared to engage further with the international community to facilitate a political resolution to the conflict.
“China is ready to work with the international community to play a constructive role,”
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
