In the early hours of February 21, Ukrainian military units launched strikes against significant facilities within Russia’s military-industrial complex and logistics network. This operation was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces utilized FP-5 “Flamingo” cruise missiles to attack the Votkinsk Plant located in Votkinsk, Udmurt Republic, Russia. Reports indicate that a fire broke out on the premises, with details regarding its extent still being assessed.
The Votkinsk Plant is known for producing intercontinental ballistic missiles, including the RS-24 “Yars” and its variants, as well as the R-30 “Bulava” missiles designed for Borei-class submarines. Additionally, the plant manufactures missiles for the Iskander-M system and the aviation complex “Dagger,” as reported by the General Staff.
Ukrainian defense forces also targeted the Neftyeghorsk gas processing plant in the Samara region of Russia, which plays a crucial role in supplying the Russian military. A fire was also reported at this facility, with its scale currently being verified.
Furthermore, in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces struck a fuel and lubricants storage site and a drone manufacturing workshop. In Polohy, Zaporizhzhia, they targeted a logistics supply depot.
