On the evening of February 14, Russian forces launched drone attacks on the Sloviansk community in the Donetsk region, according to local military administration head Vadym Lyakh.
Lyakh reported that around 10 PM, two Shahed-136 drones targeted the area, striking residential zones in Sloviansk and the nearby village of Bilbasivka. As a result, a woman and her 15-year-old son sustained injuries and received necessary medical treatment.
The attacks also caused damage to at least 24 private homes and several vehicles in the vicinity.
Russian military operations frequently employ various weaponry, including drones, missiles, and artillery, to target Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure across the country.
Ukrainian authorities and international organizations classify these strikes as war crimes, emphasizing their deliberate nature. The assaults on essential services and healthcare facilities aim to deprive residents of electricity, heating, water supply, communication, and medical assistance, which some officials characterize as genocidal actions.
In contrast, Russian leadership denies that its military intentionally targets civilian infrastructure, claiming that such accusations are unfounded.
