Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed concerns over Russia’s preparations for future armed conflicts, indicating that the Kremlin continues to destabilize Europe. He emphasized the necessity for a united international response to counter this ongoing threat.
Zelensky stated, “Russia is continuing this war and destabilization in Europe, providing intelligence support to the Iranian regime, thereby prolonging the conflict in the region. This threat of persistent warfare in various geographies must be halted.” He called for collective action from the United States, Europe, and other global players to effectively address the situation.
He further highlighted the importance of high-level meetings among world leaders to facilitate meaningful discussions and resolutions. Zelensky noted, “I have instructed my team to actively engage with our partners to ensure that diplomacy is substantive, particularly in addressing humanitarian issues such as prisoner exchanges.”
Concerns regarding Russia’s militarization have been echoed by Western intelligence agencies, which have previously warned about the Kremlin’s aggressive posture. Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, similar statements were made by Russian officials, who denied any aggressive intentions, a narrative now observed in relation to the Baltic states.
