Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced revisions to the directives for the Ukrainian delegation engaged in trilateral negotiations with the United States and Russia regarding potential terms for ending the ongoing conflict. This statement was made during his address on February 28.
“I have defined updated directives for our negotiation team and, in general, for our diplomatic team in Ukraine,” said the President.
Zelensky further indicated that the timing and location of the next meeting would be determined based on security conditions and practical diplomatic opportunities.
Additionally, the President reiterated the necessity for Russia to cease its aggression, emphasizing that security must be assured. He stated,
“Peace is needed—true peace and real opportunities for people to live freely and securely.”
The most recent round of trilateral discussions among Kyiv, Washington, and Moscow took place in Geneva, Switzerland, on February 26. This meeting placed particular emphasis on economic support and long-term mechanisms for aiding Ukraine.
