Ukrainian Government Allocates Additional Funding for Housing Repairs

The Ukrainian government has announced an increase in funding to assist homeowners whose properties have been damaged by Russian attacks. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved an allocation of 2 billion UAH as part of the “eRecovery” program.

This additional funding will enable nearly 20,000 families to receive compensation for repairs of varying complexity. The program is designed to provide financial support based on the extent of the damage incurred.

Compensation amounts vary according to the severity of the damage. For minor repairs, homeowners may receive up to 200,000 UAH per property. In cases of more significant destruction, the compensation can reach 350,000 UAH for apartments and 500,000 UAH for private homes.

Since its inception, the “eRecovery” program has already assisted a substantial number of citizens. Official reports indicate that approximately 139,000 families have received compensation, with total payouts amounting to 13.5 billion UAH. This initiative serves as a crucial tool for supporting those affected by the ongoing conflict.

Applications for compensation are currently being accepted. Homeowners whose properties have been damaged or destroyed can apply through local administrative centers, notaries, or the “Diia” portal, which streamlines the application process and expedites compensation disbursement.

The Ukrainian government has allocated an additional 2 billion UAH for housing repairs under the "eRecovery" program, aiding nearly 20,000 families. This initiative aims to provide financial support based on the extent of damage from Russian attacks.
