Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that Russia has transferred Shahed drones to Iran, which have been utilized for strikes against American bases and other targets in the Middle East.
In an interview with journalist Fareed Zakaria, Zelensky stated, “They (the Russians) are using Iranian licenses; you know they have built and produced many drones. They have handed them over. I have 100% evidence that the Iranian regime has used these drones against American bases and its neighbors in the Middle East.”
He further elaborated that intelligence reports indicate these Iranian drones contain Russian components. Zelensky added, “First of all. Secondly, my intelligence has informed me that they believe Russia is sharing intelligence with the Iranian regime. They are assisting them.”
Zelensky also noted that if Europe and the U.S. can aid Ukraine with intelligence in this conflict, it stands to reason that Russia can provide similar support to Iran.
In related developments, Ibrahim Azizi, head of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, remarked that Ukraine has made its territory a legitimate target for Iran due to its assistance with drones.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of supplying drones to Iran, which have been used in attacks against U.S. interests. He emphasized the collaboration between Russia and Iran in military intelligence and drone technology.
