Unseasonably High Temperatures in Southern California Ahead of Oscars

Southern California is experiencing unusually high temperatures for early spring, with thermometers reaching over 30 degrees Celsius. This weather pattern coincides with the upcoming 98th Academy Awards ceremony scheduled for March 15.

The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures will be approximately 20 degrees above the seasonal norm until March 13. In response, local authorities have opened cooling centers and advised residents to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours.

According to meteorologist Brian Lewis from the Los Angeles weather office, the current heat wave is attributed to a combination of high pressure and a lack of cool winds from the Pacific Ocean.

While a marine breeze is expected to provide some relief along the coast on March 13, inland areas are likely to remain warm.

As the Oscars approach, celebrities are arriving in Los Angeles, and organizers have intensified security measures following an FBI warning about a potential drone attack linked to Iran.

Southern California is facing unseasonably high temperatures ahead of the Oscars, prompting local authorities to issue health advisories. Security measures have also been heightened due to potential threats.
