Ukrainian Forces Halt Russian Assault in Sloviansk Direction

Ukrainian military units successfully repelled a Russian motorcycle assault in the Sloviansk region, where the enemy deployed 16 motorcycles in an attempt to breach Ukrainian positions.

The 81st Separate Airborne Brigade reported that the Russian forces operated in groups of three to four motorcycles, aiming to penetrate the defenses of Ukrainian paratroopers and adjacent units. However, timely detection and coordinated actions by Ukrainian forces thwarted the assault, resulting in the elimination of the advancing infantry.

The situation in the area remains precarious, as Russian troops continue to reinforce their resources and seek advantageous positions. They are also attempting to control logistical routes through remote mining and the use of drones.

Despite these challenges, the 81st Brigade and allied forces are actively identifying and neutralizing enemy units. Over the past day, there were 171 combat engagements reported, with the heaviest attacks occurring in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders successfully halted 56 enemy assaults.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped six attempts by Russian forces to advance in the areas of Zakitne, Riznykivka, and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka, Platonivka, and Kalenyky.

Ukrainian forces have effectively countered a Russian motorcycle assault in the Sloviansk region, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to defending strategic positions. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in combat, with significant clashes reported in various areas.
