Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted a decree implementing sanctions against individuals and companies that support the Russian military-industrial complex, following a decision by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
The sanctions list includes 46 Russian citizens, two Iranian nationals, and 44 Russian companies involved in various capacities with the military sector. These entities are engaged in the supply, development, production, and repair of military equipment, electronic warfare systems, and spare parts utilized by the Russian military. Their products are reportedly used in the manufacturing of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as combat and reconnaissance drones, firearms, and ammunition.
The two Iranian individuals are implicated in supplying aviation parts and components in violation of sanctions. This activity was conducted on behalf of the Iranian Aviation Industry Corporation, which collaborates with Russia in the development and production of Shahed drones and is already under sanctions from Ukraine, the United States, Switzerland, and New Zealand.
Ukraine plans to share relevant information with its partners to coordinate efforts and intends to expand sanctions against additional individuals and entities that contribute to Russian aggression.
Ukraine has announced new sanctions targeting individuals and companies linked to the Russian military-industrial complex. This action is part of ongoing efforts to counteract support for Russian military operations.
