Lviv Terror Attack Leaves Three in Critical Condition

A terror attack in Lviv on the night of February 22 has resulted in three individuals being hospitalized in critical condition. Two others are reported to have sustained moderate injuries, while eleven additional victims are receiving treatment at home.

According to local council member Ihor Zinkevych, the three critically injured patients are currently in intensive care at St. Panteleimon Hospital. He stated, “The most severe cases are being treated in the intensive care unit.” Meanwhile, the two individuals with moderate injuries are being cared for at St. Luke’s Hospital, where their condition remains stable.

The incident unfolded in central Lviv when police responded to a call on Danilyshyna Street, near the Magnus shopping center. Shortly after their arrival, an explosion occurred. A second blast was triggered when another police unit arrived on the scene, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old police officer and injuries to 25 others.

Authorities apprehended a 33-year-old woman from the Rivne region, suspected of orchestrating the attack. Police have released footage showing her placing homemade explosive devices that later detonated.

As of the evening of February 22, a total of twelve individuals were hospitalized due to the attack. President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the incident was organized by Russia, with operatives recruited through the social media platform Telegram. Intelligence reports indicate that further attacks may be planned.

A recent terror attack in Lviv has left three individuals in critical condition and resulted in one fatality. Authorities have arrested a suspect linked to the incident, which has been attributed to Russian operatives.
