Interpol Issues Red Notices for Five Suspects in Ukrainian’s Murder in Bali

Interpol has issued Red Notices for five individuals linked to the kidnapping and murder of Ukrainian citizen Ihor Komarov in Bali, following a request from Indonesian law enforcement.

The suspects include three Ukrainians: 34-year-old Denys Halushko, 28-year-old Roman Melnyk, and 42-year-old Vasyl Nemesh. Additionally, a 29-year-old Russian national, Mykola Petryk, and 27-year-old Vladyslav Akhanov from Kazakhstan are also wanted in connection with the case.

The National Police of Ukraine confirmed that these individuals are being sought based on the Indonesian authorities’ request regarding Komarov’s abduction and subsequent death.

In late February, reports emerged that Komarov and another individual, Yermak Petrovskyi, both sons of businessmen from Dnipro, had been kidnapped in Bali. While Petrovskyi managed to escape, Komarov was reportedly tortured, with kidnappers demanding a ransom of $10 million for his release. The incident is believed to have been facilitated by a geolocated photo shared by Komarov’s girlfriend, blogger Yeva Mishalova.

Video footage surfaced online showing Komarov confessing to his involvement with what he referred to as the “Dnipro offices.” He claimed that Alexander Petrovskyi, known as “Narik,” was responsible for the security of these offices, for which he received monthly payments of $15,000 from each office. Komarov also alleged that employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, now head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Serhiy Lysak, were connected to this business.

On March 6, Ukrainian authorities announced their collaboration with Indonesian officials to investigate the circumstances surrounding Komarov’s potential kidnapping and murder.

Interpol has issued Red Notices for five suspects in the kidnapping and murder of Ukrainian Ihor Komarov in Bali. The case has drawn significant attention due to its ties to organized crime and high-profile individuals in Ukraine.
