Explosion Damages Police Station in Dnipro Amid Rising Terror Threats in Ukraine

An explosion occurred in Dnipro on the evening of February 23, damaging a local police station. The blast, which took place in the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi district, shattered windows and affected furniture and computer equipment within the building. A nearby parked vehicle was also damaged.

According to the National Police spokesperson, Hanna Starchievska, the explosion happened around 8:30 PM. As of 9:42 PM, there were no reported injuries. Explosive experts are currently on-site to determine the cause of the explosion.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko had previously indicated that the country is experiencing an “active phase” of terrorist acts orchestrated by Russian intelligence services, targeting law enforcement agencies. Recent reports noted multiple incidents, including four in Kyiv, three in Dnipropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions, two in Kharkiv, and one in Lviv.

Earlier on February 23, another explosion occurred at an inactive gas station in Mykolaiv, injuring seven members of the Patrol Police. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) classified this incident as a terrorist act and has initiated a criminal investigation.

Additionally, explosions were reported in Lviv on the night of February 22, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old police officer and injuries to 25 others. The SBU stated that these blasts occurred shortly after patrol officers responded to a call, suggesting they were carried out under the direction of Russian intelligence operatives.

Further updates on this situation are expected.

An explosion in Dnipro has damaged a police station, coinciding with a series of terrorist acts targeting law enforcement in Ukraine. Authorities are investigating the incidents, which are believed to be linked to Russian intelligence operations.
