Drone Strikes Cause Fires at Russian Oil Refinery and Port

A series of drone attacks in Russia’s Krasnodar region have resulted in fires at an oil refinery and a nearby port. The incidents were reported by local authorities, with initial assessments indicating no casualties at the refinery.

According to the operational headquarters of Krasnodar, the Afipsky Oil Refinery experienced a fire due to debris from a downed drone. While the technical installations caught fire, officials confirmed that there were no injuries reported from this incident.

In a separate but related event, three individuals sustained injuries at the Caucasus port in the Temryuk district. This attack also led to damage to a technical vessel and a localized fire at the docking complex, further complicating the situation.

The Russian Ministry of Defense later reported that overnight, the country faced an assault involving 87 drones. Of these, 31 were intercepted over the Azov Sea, while others were downed in various regions, including Krasnodar, occupied Crimea, and several other areas across Russia.

The incidents reflect ongoing tensions and the use of drone technology in regional conflicts. As the situation develops, further assessments will be necessary to understand the full implications of these attacks on local infrastructure and security.
