Deadly Shootout in Odesa: Man Opens Fire on Police During Operation

A 45-year-old man was killed during a police operation in Odesa after he opened fire on officers. This incident occurred on March 26, as reported by the National Police of Ukraine via their Telegram channel.

The individual was wanted for violating military registration rules. During a routine document check, he fired an automatic weapon at police and fled the scene in a vehicle.

In response, law enforcement initiated a special operation in the region to apprehend him. Authorities later located the suspect hiding in an unfinished building.

While negotiations were underway, the man fired from the third floor at members of the KORD special unit. In return, the special forces engaged, resulting in the suspect’s death.

Investigative teams are currently on-site, and both the State Bureau of Investigation and the prosecutor’s office have been notified of the incident.

A police operation in Odesa ended in a shootout, resulting in the death of a man who fired on officers. The suspect was wanted for military registration violations and was located in a construction site.
