Several defense companies in the Czech Republic have responded to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš’s call for heightened security measures after a fire at a defense facility in Pardubice.
According to reports from Radio Prague International, Aero Vodochody, a major manufacturer of military and training aircraft, announced that it has increased security at its site, expanded airspace monitoring, and placed its fire services on full alert.
Other companies, including Bagira Systems and Česká zbrojovka, have also indicated that they are reviewing or strengthening their security protocols.
The fire occurred on March 20 at a facility belonging to the defense conglomerate LPP Holding. The police have classified the incident as a terrorist act, as an anti-Israeli group claimed responsibility.
