Foreign Currency Rates Surge in Ukraine as Dollar and Euro Prices Rise

On the morning of March 12, foreign currency rates in Ukraine saw a significant increase, with exchange offices adjusting their prices upward. While some banks are offering more favorable terms for card transactions, the overall trend indicates a rise in the value of major currencies.

Key Highlights:

  • Dollar Increase: The dollar rose by 26 kopecks, reaching a rate of 44.35 UAH.
  • Euro Climb: The average purchase rate for euros in exchange offices increased to 51.70 UAH.
  • Bank Rates: The highest dollar rates are found at Oschadbank (44.50 UAH) and PrivatBank (44.44 UAH).
  • Lower Cashless Rates: PUMB offers the best rate for cashless transactions at 44.20 UAH.

According to data from the Minfin portal, as of March 12, the average dollar purchase rate in exchange offices stands at 44.35 UAH, reflecting a 26 kopeck increase from the previous morning. The selling rate for the dollar is currently 44.15 UAH, up by 23 kopecks.

The euro can be purchased at an average rate of 51.70 UAH (+20 kopecks) and sold for 51.42 UAH (+12 kopecks) in exchange offices.

In banks, the average dollar purchase rate is 44.23 UAH (+4 kopecks), while the selling rate is 43.75 UAH (+7 kopecks). The euro remains stable at 51.50 UAH for purchases and increases to 50.80 UAH for selling.

At Monobank, the dollar is available for purchase at 44.43 UAH, while the euro is priced at 51.54 UAH.

PUMB offers the dollar at 44.40 UAH for cash transactions and 44.20 UAH for cashless, with the euro priced at 51.50 UAH.

PrivatBank lists the dollar at 44.35 UAH for cash purchases and 44.44 UAH for cashless transactions, while the euro costs 51.40 UAH in cash and 51.54 UAH for card purchases.

Oschadbank sells dollars at 44.40 UAH in branches and 44.50 UAH for cashless transactions, with the euro priced at 51.55 UAH in cash and 51.60 UAH for cashless.
