Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asserted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has already begun what he describes as a Third World War. He emphasized the urgent need to prevent this conflict from escalating into a larger scale war.
During a recent interview, Zelensky reflected on the concerns raised by former U.S. President Joe Biden regarding nuclear threats from Putin and the looming fear of global conflict. When asked if current President Donald Trump shares similar views, Zelensky articulated his perspective on the situation.
“We have different views on the Third World War. I believe that Putin has already started it. The question is how much territory he can seize and how to stop him,”
he stated. Zelensky elaborated that the stakes extend beyond preventing a Russian victory; they also involve resisting Russia’s attempts to impose an alternative way of life on the world, fundamentally altering the freedoms that people have chosen for themselves.
“Thus, I firmly believe that Putin has initiated this war, and we must ensure it does not escalate into a large-scale Third World War,”
he concluded.
