Zelensky expressed gratitude for Syria’s support regarding the ongoing conflict with Russia, emphasizing the importance of sharing military and security experiences. He shared insights via Telegram, stating, “We agreed to work together to provide more security and opportunities for our societies.”
During the meeting, the two presidents also addressed Ukraine’s role as a reliable supplier of food products, exploring collaborative efforts to bolster food security across the region.
“We understand the energy and infrastructure challenges Syria faces today. We are ready to work together to expand the capabilities of our countries and peoples,” Zelensky concluded.
Earlier, on April 4, Zelensky arrived in Istanbul, where he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. This visit to Syria marks a continuation of Ukraine’s active diplomatic efforts aimed at fostering real security and economic cooperation.
