Umerov said that preparations for receiving Mirage aircraft will begin soon

Ukraine is preparing to receive Mirage 2000 fighters, which will be the next step in strengthening the country’s defense capabilities. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov on the air and telethon, reports UNN.

“This year, we worked fruitfully with our partners. I want to note that a third of these investments were state-owned. We invested and created our own defense industry… As for our partners, we paid a lot this year — tens of billions of dollars,” Umyerov said.

According to the Minister of Defense, this year Ukraine received a lot of Patriot air defense systems.

“We received a lot of Patriot, NASAMS, Cheetahs – this is a strong support. We also received support in military equipment from partners, in particular F-16s, which are already shooting down missiles. We will soon start working on obtaining the Mirage 2000,” he said.

Minister of the Armed Forces of France Sebastien Lecornu announced plans to supply Ukraine with Mirage 2000 fighters in the first quarter of 2025.
