It is noted that the temporary occupation of the Russian Federation of the Azov Sea of the Sea made it impossible to control the catch of aquatic bioresources in this reservoir by Ukraine. However, the Azov Fisheries Patrol of the State Fisheries Agency, using the information set out on the Internet about the volume of fishing by the occupiers, taking into account the requirements of the legislation, estimated the losses caused by the fisheries of Ukraine in the Azov Sea.
Thus, according to preliminary calculations, the amount of losses caused by the fisheries of Ukraine as a result of the illegal catch of the Russian Federation of Bioresources (Kalkan Azovsky, Glossi, Drum, Hamsi, Pilegas, Sargana, Staffy, Taran, Sudak, Herring, Tulle, Tulle, Shrimp, etc.) amounts to over UAH 4.1 billion.
Of these, Russian poachers were caused:
– in 2022 – UAH 194.4 million;
– in 2023 – UAH 367 million;
– for 9 months of 2024 – UAH 3 584 million.
The information was sent to the Berdyansk District Police Department in Zaporizhzhia region for involvement in criminal proceedings opened under Part 1 of Art. 249 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
