The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced an attack on five Russian regions on the night of December 22. The agency claims that 42 drones were shot down. Meanwhile, the governor of the Oryol region confirmed the attack on the fuel and energy infrastructure. This is reported UNN with a link to MORF’s Telegram post.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that 42 Ukrainian drones were allegedly destroyed by means of air defense. 20 UAVs were allegedly shot down over the territory of Oryol region, 8 UAVs each over Rostov and Bryansk regions, 5 over Kursk region and one over Kuban.

As noted by the governor of the Oryol region, Andriy Klychkov, the main target of the strike was the fuel and energy infrastructure. The fire has already been extinguished. According to him, there were no casualties.
