Grossi added that a nuclear accident could be a result of direct attack on the substation, as well as due to power disruption.
The IAEA Head assured that IAEA representatives are in place to evaluate the impact and to support and help prevent such risk.

On February 4, Raphael Grosssey arrived in Ukraine to evaluate damage at the Kiev substation. The visit is aimed at preventing nuclear incidents and assessing the country’s nuclear energy safety.
