The IAEA was forced to postpone the rotation of its mission at the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP. This happens on the background of the Russian Federation uses blackmail and intimidates international experts, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Georgy Tykhy.
For example, during one of the previous rotations, Russia struck a drone on the IAEA car.
Among the reasons for this kind of action, from Moscow:
1) Attempted to impose the international recognition of illegal occupation of the Ukrainian NPP.
2) manipulation of the operational situation in the area around the station. We will not make any of these intentions embody.
However, Ukraine appreciates the IAEA’s work in unprecedented security conditions, notes the main diplomatic agency.
We will not allow Russia to undermine the independence and impartiality of the agency to achieve its criminal goals. We urge the international community to firmly support the IAEA and decisively condemn the unprecedented pressure that the aggressor state continues to exert.
