According to the investigation, on September 28, 2024, around 7:35 a.m., using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the occupiers struck a medical facility in the city of Sumy with an unmanned aerial vehicle of the “Shakhed” type.
According to prosecutors, at the time of the explosions, there were 86 patients in the hospital, 15 of them with reduced mobility, and 38 employees of the institution.
According to preliminary information, one person died and 10 were injured as a result of an enemy attack.
However, around 08:25, when rescuers and policemen were providing aid and evacuating the sick at the scene, the enemy launched another airstrike. As a result of repeated shelling, 6 people died, including a police officer, another policeman was injured.
