Later, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, told the story of the Sonechko villa, which was destroyed by Russia on September 4:
“This is a historical building on Melnyka Street, which is an architectural monument of local importance. The villa was built by order of the director of the Lviv City Theater, Ludwik Heller, more than a hundred years ago. The building got its name because of the sun on the facades, made in wood carvings and stucco.”
He recalled that during the massive rocket attack on Lviv, the roof and part of the building were significantly damaged.
