Pointed Russian anti-aircraft missiles at the defenders of Kharkiv region: an agent of the Russian military intelligence was detained

The security service detained an agent of the Russian military intelligence in Kharkiv. The attacker was correcting Russian missile and bomb attacks on the front-line city and nearby territories. This was reported by the press service of the SBU, writes UNN.

The man came to the attention of the occupiers because of his pro-Kremlin posts in Telegram channels. There he was approached by a staff member of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (better known as Gru) and offered cooperation.

On the instructions of a Russian special service agent, the agent regularly visited the city’s districts and secretly recorded the location of the Defense Forces. Then he marked the corresponding coordinates on Google maps and sent a “report” to his Russian curator via messenger.

SBU employees exposed the agent at the initial stage of his intelligence activity, which made it possible to secure the positions of Ukrainian troops in a timely manner. After documenting every step of the criminal actions of the person involved, he was detained in his own apartment,

During the searches, the mobile phone that he used to photograph military objects and communicate with the Russian game was seized from the agent.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed him of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The offender was remanded in custody without bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
