Occupants in Mariupol have found a new way of appropriating apartments

The occupiers in Mariupol have found a new way of appropriating apartments. Due to the lack of documents and the delay in the inheritance process, the people of Mariupol risk losing their homes.”, — write on: unn.ua

The occupiers are trying to take away apartments from Mariupol residents who remain under occupation.

This is reported by the Mariupol City Council, writes UNN.

Details

Due to a significant increase in the dissatisfaction of the city’s residents regarding the lack of compensatory housing, the occupiers began to look for tools of appeasement. They announced that they would give away the so-called “homeless apartments”. But they are already planning to register apartments not only for those who left the city, but also for the owners who remained

In particular, in one of the video appeals, residents of Mariupol noted that their houses have been under “repair” for 2.5 years.

Now, due to the fact that many people cannot confirm ownership, because the documents have not yet been restored and the inheritance process is delayed, the occupiers are trying to take away their apartments.

It is reported that the renovation of the houses began in the summer of 2022.

the Russian contracting organization first constantly postponed the completion date of the works, and then completely disappeared.

We never saw the repair. Broken porches, emergency balconies, rotten communications, unfinished roof… Nothing has changed in our houses in 2.5 years. It even got worse. The builders simply renounced us and sank into oblivion

According to residents, the pseudo-administration of the city regularly reports on the “restoration” of housing. However, this is not true. Residents note that the so-called “renovated” houses are often rented without windows, doors, with emergency sewage networks and roofs.

We will remind

The occupation authorities introduced a new condition for receiving compensation for destroyed housing in Mariupol – the inventory of buildings. However, this is impossible, since more than 500 high-rise buildings have been completely demolished by the occupiers.
