In Kherson Oblast, an investigation into the facts of war crimes related to shelling, which caused the death and injury of civilians, is ongoing. This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office UNN.

Details

According to preliminary data, on January 7, 2025, the enemy military shelled populated areas of the region using artillery and drones. As of evening, the death of two people and the wounding of four more civilians were confirmed.

A 62-year-old man was killed in the morning in Naddnipryansk as a result of a drone attack. In Bilozerka, near the cemetery, the body of a 48-year-old woman was found, who, according to preliminary data, was the victim of an attack on January 5.

During the day, residents of Beryslav, Kherson and Stanislav also suffered under shelling. In total, at least 16 civilian objects were damaged, including residential buildings and cars.

Investigative bodies are gathering evidence to bring the guilty to justice in accordance with international norms.
