Photo of the press service of the Military Academy (Odesa) The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine named three combat specialties and specializations that became the most popular among women in this year’s admissions campaign to military universities and colleges. The Department of Military Education and Science of the Ministry of Defense informed ArmiyaInform about this.
“The most popular among women were the majors and specializations that train commanders of mechanized units, units of Airborne Assault Forces and Special Operations Forces,” the agency noted.
In 2024, the number of women enrolled in higher military educational institutions, military educational units of higher education institutions, and professional advanced military education institutions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was 31.5%, which is 3.2% more than last year.
Earlier, ArmiyaInform reported that at the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Pyotr Sahaidachny, many women are studying such combat specializations as “Complexes, devices and devices of artillery intelligence”, “Management of the actions of artillery units” and “Management of the actions of mechanized troops units”.
