The Minister of Defense of Ukraine thanked and presented departmental awards to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who worthily defended the country’s honor at the 2024 Olympic Games. Rustem Umerov wrote about this on his Facebook page.
In particular, the awards were given to: chief sergeant Yaroslava Maguchih, senior sergeant Parviz Nasibov, sergeant Anastasia Rybachok, captain Serhii Kulish, major Zhan Beleniuk, senior lieutenant Iryna Gerashchenko.
Yulia Bakastova, Alina Komaschuk and Iryna Kolyadenko, representatives of the Central Sports Club of the ZSU, were also awarded – they won 8 awards: 2 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.
In total, the Olympic team of Ukraine was represented by 62 sportsmen and military servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I am grateful to each and every one of you for the high results and the blue-yellow flag on the pedestals of Paris,” added the Minister of Defense.
