Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov met with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Har Støre today in Oslo.

This is stated in the minister’s message on the Facebook page.

The meeting discussed the situation at the front and key needs of Ukraine, including strengthening our air defenses ahead of winter and opportunities for Norwegian investment in the Ukrainian defense industry.

Rustem Umerov thanked the head of the government and the people of Norway for the new aid package of 500 million euros.

“This is an important support that we greatly appreciate. Norway stands with Ukraine in this difficult time, and we are grateful for their help and solidarity,” said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

As ArmiyaInform reported, on November 14, Rustem Umyerov arrived on a working visit to the Kingdom of Norway, where he met with the Minister of Defense of Norway, Bjorn Arild Gram. The delegations discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular ways to develop and strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system.
