This was reported to the SBU.
At the enemy’s behest, they tried to destroy substations and power facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia with the help of flammable mixtures.
The occupiers recruited all the participants remotely through specially created telegram channels, where the Rashists offer money in exchange for cooperation. However, instead of funds from the Russians, the arsonists received suspicion from Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
Thus, in the Kyiv region, a 33-year-old resident of the capital was detained, who after 10 years in prison for theft went to cooperate with the occupiers.
According to their instructions, the recidivist set fire to the Ukrzaliznytsia relay cabinet, which ensures the uninterrupted movement of trains on one of the sections in Kyiv.
Another person involved is a 29-year-old resident of Boryspil, a gambling addict who hoped to “cover” his losses on lottery machines with money from the Russian Federation. For this purpose, the attacker also burned down another Ukrzaliznytsia relay box.
Four local teenagers, aged 15 and 14, were arrested in Mykolaiv Oblast for setting fire to an electrical substation that provides electricity to most of the residents of Pervomaysky District.
During the searches, clothes, flammable mixtures and mobile phones with evidence of crimes were seized from the suspects.
All detainees were notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sabotage committed under martial law). Perpetrators, including minors, face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in Kyiv and Kyiv, Mykolaiv Oblasts jointly with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the Kyiv and Mykolaiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Offices.
