The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved order No. 687, by which 12 paper journals and personnel record books were reduced to a single electronic one.

This was announced by the Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov.

“We are ridding the army of paper bureaucracy. Our military should focus on the execution of combat tasks, and not waste time on filling out numerous paper journals,” the minister emphasized.

What is changing?

  • The military can now keep personnel records on a computer.
  • The electronic journal replaces the content of all paper documents, which were previously kept separately.
  • Ability to quickly make changes and correct inaccuracies in current information.

Rustem Umyerov emphasized that this decision will save the time of our military, make processes simpler and more efficient.

“I sincerely thank Deputy Minister Kateryna Chernogorenko and the team of the Ministry of Defense for their great work. We will continue to implement progressive changes to modernize our army,” he added.

As reported by ArmiyaInform, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov signed an order introducing a new full-time position in each brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the commissioner for procurement of goods, works and services.
