In Mykolaiv, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an employee of Oblast Teploenergo, who worked for the FSB and coordinated attacks on the city. The Security Service of Ukraine informs about this.
It is noted that the 43-year-old technical worker became an informer of the aggressor after pro-Russian comments in Telegram channels. He came to the attention of the Russian special services, after which he received the task of collecting intelligence on Ukrainian units.
The attacker drove around the city and surrounding areas in his own car, secretly recording objects where, in his opinion, Ukrainian troops and equipment might be located. In addition, he tried to get the necessary information from his colleagues and acquaintances, conducting everyday conversations.
The security service promptly exposed the agent, searched and detained him. During the searches, a mobile phone with a Telegram channel, through which he communicated with the FSB, was seized.
The detainee was notified of the suspicion of violation of Part 3 Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement and location of the Armed Forces). He faces up to 12 years in prison. The perpetrator is currently in custody.
The investigation continues under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.
