In ten months of 2024, the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “State Rear Operator” (DOT) saved UAH 16.7 billion on the purchase of rear property. In particular, it was possible to save UAH 7 billion on food supply contracting, UAH 6 billion on fuel, and UAH 3.7 billion on tangible property. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Such a result was made possible thanks to the high competition in the tenders conducted by the DOT through the Prozorro system. The average number of participants in tenders is 4.2 potential counterparties. In particular, in the segment of tangible property purchases, the number of participants reaches 5.4, food supplies – 3.7, fuel and lubricants – 2.3.
“Our priority is maximum transparency and efficiency in procurement. High competition at auctions allowed us to get the best offers, which ensured significant savings of budget funds. For example, DOT attracted 45 new suppliers of tangible property. We will continue to improve procurement processes in order to provide our military with everything they need on the best terms,” said Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.
